Filters in Pavilion help you quickly find and manage records across all tabs, including Vendors, Customers, Inventory, Orders, Sales, and Receipts. By applying filters based on fields like status, dates, owners, or amounts, you can focus on the data that matters most.
For more advanced filtering, creating your own custom list views can help you save and reuse your preferred filters. Learn how to do that here: Working with List Views.
Applying Filters
1. Navigate to any tab (for example, Vendors, Customers, or Inventory).
2. Open the list view you want to work with.
3. Click the Filter icon at the top right of the page.
4. Click Add Filter.
5. Add your filter conditions by selecting fields, operators (equals, contains, greater than, etc.), and values. Click Save (1) to save this specific filter, and then Save (2) to apply the change.
6. The list will now display only the items that match the filters you applied.
π‘ Use the Remove All option to clear all applied filters at once and return to the default list view.
Understanding Filter Operators
When applying filters in Pavilion, you can refine your results using operators. Each operator defines how your filter compares the field to the value you enter. Hereβs a breakdown of commonly used operators:
Equals β Shows records where the field exactly matches the value.
Not Equal To β Shows records where the field does not match the value.
Less Than β Shows records where the field is smaller than the value (numeric or date fields).
Greater Than β Shows records where the field is larger than the value (numeric or date fields).
Less or Equal β Shows records where the field is smaller than or equal to the value.
Greater or Equal β Shows records where the field is larger than or equal to the value.
Contains β Shows records where the field contains the specified text.
Does Not Contain β Shows records where the field does not contain the specified text.
Starts With β Shows records where the field begins with the specified text.
These operators can be combined in multiple conditions to create precise filters and find exactly the records you need.
Tips for filters
Text filters are not case-sensitive (for example, βRingβ and βringβ are treated the same).
Number filters require the full value you want to match (for example, β100β is different from β1000β).
Date filters must use the complete date format (for example, β09/10/2025β rather than just β09/10β).
Combining Multiple Conditions
When building filters, you can use AND and OR to combine rules:
AND β all conditions must be true. Example: Status equals Open AND Paid equals False will only show open orders that are not paid.
OR β at least one condition must be true. Example: Status equals Draft OR Status equals Pending will show both drafts and pending orders.
This helps you narrow down results more precisely or broaden them when needed.
π‘ If you find yourself reusing the same filter conditions, consider creating a custom list view instead. See Working with List Views
