How do I work with records in Pavilion?

Records are the individual items of information you open and work with in Pavilion. Use this article to learn how to open, review, and update records in Pavilion.

Note: The records and fields you can view or edit may vary based on your role, permissions, and Pavilion app.

What is a record?

A record is a single entry in Pavilion.

For example:

  • A customer profile is a customer record.

  • An inventory item is an inventory record.

  • A sale is a sales record.

  • A job is a job record.

How to open a record

1. Go to the tab that contains the record you want to view. For example, select Customers to find a customer record or Inventory to find an inventory item.

2. Use the list view or search to find the record.

3. Select the record name to open it.

Review Record Details

1. After you open a record, review the information on the record page.

Depending on the record type, you may see:

  • Contact or account information

  • Item details

  • Transaction details

  • Status information

  • Notes or activity

  • Related records

Some records may also include tabs, sections, or related lists that organize additional information.

2. You can return to the list of records by clicking on the appropriate tab or using the “Back” button on your browser’s panel.
