Creating and Managing Combined Items in Pavilion

Learn to bundle inventory items into Combined Items, set pricing, and customize details efficiently.

A combined item is a product that combines multiple inventory items frequently purchased together. It offers a convenient way to acquire related items as a single unit.

Examples:

  • Bundling a semi-mount ring with a loose diamond to create a diamond ring

  • Pairing a chain with a pendant to assemble a necklace

For comprehensive guidance on creating and managing combined items, please refer to the user guide mentioned below.

Creating a Combined Item

This user guide outlines the process of creating Combined Items effectively from the Inventory Item List view.

1. On the Inventory item list view page, click the Combine Products button.

2. Choose a category for your combined item from the Category dropdown.

3. Choose a store for your combined item from the Store dropdown menu.

4. After selecting a Store, choose a location from the Location dropdown menu.

5. Add inventory Items to your combined item. Click on the +Part button.

⚠️ Note: You cannot add or remove parts from a Combined Item if it or any of its parts have been reserved or sold (i.e. has a non-canceled, non-returned Sale Line Item). Deleting part inventory items is also not possible in this case.

6. Select a way to add your parts:

  • From an existing Inventory Item (1). This option allows you to choose parts from your existing inventory list.

  • Create a new inventory Item (2). This option lets you create a new inventory item if it’s not already in the system.

Since you want to add existing inventory items, click the From Inventory option.

⚠️ When adding parts From Inventory, only inventory items with the Diamond or Unique Item pricing model can be added to a Combined Item. Items with other pricing models cannot be selected as parts.

7. In the Select Items dropdown menu, choose the inventory item you want to add.

8. Click on the Save button.

9. To create a new Inventory Item, click on the +Part button.

10. Click the Quick Add option.

11. In the Category dropdown menu, choose the category of inventory item you want to add.

12. In the Vendor dropdown menu, choose the vendor of the inventory item.

13. Enter the cost price and retail price for your combined item in the designated fields labeled Cost and Retail Price.

14. Enter the title of the Inventory item in the Title field.

15. Check if the data is correct and click on the Save button.

16. You can personalize your combined item with the following details (optional):

  • Title: Select the preferred title from the existing parts by clicking the Take Title radio button next to it.

  • Description, Attributes, and Photos: Choose to copy these details from the added parts by checking the corresponding checkboxes: Copy Description, Copy Attributes, and Copy Photos.

17. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
