Coupons in Pavilion reduce the total price of a sale or order. You can use coupons for promotions, special offers, or custom discounts.
Coupons can be applied in two ways:
From a saved coupon template
Manually in POS or on an order
Coupons can be set up as either a fixed amount or a percentage.
Type | What it does | How it works |
Fixed | Applies a specific amount off the sale Total | You enter the exact dollar value to deduct (e.g., $10 off). |
Percentage | Applies a discount based on a percentage of the sale Total | You enter a number from 0 to 100, which represents the percent to deduct (e.g., 10% off). |
⚠️ Gift cards cannot be applied to returns or trade-ins.
Create a coupon template
Use a coupon template when you want to reuse the same discount multiple times.
Open the App Launcher.
Search for Gift Cards & Coupons.
Select Gift Cards & Coupons from the results.
Click New.
In the Type field, select Coupon.
Enter the Title.
Select the Coupon Type.
Enter the Amount.
For a Fixed coupon, enter the dollar amount to deduct.
For a Percentage coupon, enter a number from 0 to 100. This number represents the percentage that will be deducted.
Optionally, select a Vendor.
Confirm that Is Active is selected.
Click Save.
Manage existing coupon templates
Use this process to edit or delete a coupon template.
Open the App Launcher.
Search for Gift Cards & Coupons.
Select Gift Cards & Coupons from the results.
Find the coupon template you want to update.
Click the dropdown arrow next to the template.
To update the template, click Edit, make your changes, and click Save.
To delete the template, click Delete and confirm the deletion.
⚠️ You cannot delete coupon templates that have already been used.
Add a coupon in POS
Use this process to add a coupon while completing a sale in POS.
Open POS.
Complete the required POS fields, such as Customer, Associate, Source, and Store.
Add the sale line items.
Click the dropdown arrow near the POS action buttons.
Select Coupon.
To use a coupon template, select From Coupons, choose the coupon in the Select Coupon field, and click Add.
To enter a coupon manually, select Manual, choose the Type, enter the Amount, and click Add.
Review the updated total in POS.
Add payment.
Click Finish.
The coupon will appear on the sale and on the customer’s receipt.
Add or edit a coupon on a job
Coupons can also be added to jobs after the job is created and added to POS.
Create a new job or open an existing job.
Add the job to POS.
Add the coupon from POS using the coupon process above.
To edit the coupon later, open the job.
In the Parts and Services section, find the coupon line.
Click the dropdown arrow next to the coupon.
Click Edit.
Update the coupon details.
Click Save.
For percentage-based coupons, the discount applies to the job’s total price regardless of whether the coupon is added during the initial deposit or final payment.
