Use Stripe in Pavilion POS to collect card payments through a connected Stripe Terminal and issue refunds for Stripe payments when needed.
Take a Stripe payment in POS
Add the order or sale line items to the POS.
In the Payments section, click the payment dropdown.
Select Pay with Stripe Terminal.
Enter the Payment Amount.
Click Proceed.
Complete the payment on the connected Stripe Terminal.
After the payment is approved, click Finish to complete the transaction.
A receipt is created with the Stripe payment recorded. Stripe payment statuses may include:
Succeeded: The payment was captured successfully.
Uncaptured: The payment was authorized but still needs to be captured, depending on your organization’s Stripe setup.
ℹ️If your organization has more than one Stripe Terminal connected, Pavilion will prompt you to select which terminal to use before sending the payment request. This allows you to choose the correct device at the time of checkout.
Remove a Stripe payment from sale
To remove a payment before finishing the sale:
Click the X next to it to cancel that payment (1)
Or click Clear All to remove all Stripe payments, which will cancel them in Stripe as well (2)
Refund a Stripe payment from a return
Use this process when you are already processing a return in POS.
Add the returned item or order to the POS.
In the Payments section, click the payment dropdown.
Select Stripe Refunds.
In the Stripe Payment Refunds window, select the Stripe payment you want to refund.
Review or adjust the refund amount if needed.
Click Add Selected Refunds.
Click Finish to complete the transaction.
A receipt is created with the Stripe refund recorded.
Refund a Stripe payment directly from POS
Use this process when you need to start the return from POS.
Open the POS.
Click Return.
Select the sale you want to return.
Click Add.
In the Payments section, click the payment dropdown.
Select Stripe Refunds.
In the Stripe Payment Refunds window, select the Stripe payment you want to refund.
Review or adjust the refund amount if needed.
Click Add Selected Refunds.
Click Finish to complete the transaction.
A receipt is created with the Stripe refund recorded.
