Order cancellation refers to the process of discontinuing an existing order. It typically involves reversing the transaction, refunding any payments made, and updating inventory levels accordingly.
This instruction will provide the steps to cancel an order (in this example - Layaway) and finalize the cancellation on the POS.
1. Open the POS Utility bar and locate the order that needs to be canceled. Click on Cancel Layaway in the top right corner of the record page.
2. A cancellation modal will appear, asking you to confirm the cancellation and provide additional details. Fill in the required field and the optional fields if needed.
Click on the Continue button.
3. Now that your order is canceled, you can add it to the POS. If you wish to revert the cancellation, you can click on the Restore button.
Click on the Add to POS button.
4. Add Payment.
5. Verify all the cancellation information and complete the necessary steps to finalize the cancellation. Click on the Finish button.
