Configuring the Tag Printer Software

Installing and configuring QZ Tray Software

This guide is for Windows operating system

You need to have Administrator rights to install the tag printing software

Detailed instructions with screenshots are provided below

  1. Download and install the QZ Tray software on every computer that needs to print tags. Link to download the software: https://qz.io/download/

  2. Start the QZ Tray software from the Start menu. QZ Tray icon should appear in your system tray (bottom right corner of your screen, next to a clock)

  3. Copy the certificate file to the QZ Tray application folder. Certificate file should be named exactly override.crt and it will be provided by your Pavilion administrator. This file provides a level of encryption to make sure that your setup is secure.

  4. Restart QZ Tray. Right click the QZ tray icon in the tray and click the Reload option.

1. Download QZ Tray Software installer from https://qz.io/download/

2. Run the installer from your Downloads folder

3. If prompted, allow access to make changes to your device

1. Search for QZ Tray in your start menu

2. Click QZ Tray to start the application

3. QZ Tray icon should appear in your system tray (bottom right corner of your screen, next to a clock)

3. Configuring the certificate (click to view detail)

1. Make sure that QZ Tray software is running (see the section 2 of this guide)

2. Locate a QZ Tray icon in the tray

3. Right click the icon, choose Advanced Diagnostic Browse App Folder option. QZ Tray App folder will open (most likely it's C:\Program Files\QZ Tray\)

4. Copy the certificate file to the QZ Tray application folder. Certificate file should be named exactly override.crt and is provided by your Pavilion administrator.

5. Restart QZ Tray. Right click the QZ tray icon in the tray and click the Reload option.
