The [Featured] tag allows you to highlight selected products on your WooCommerce site. Once applied, these items can appear in special sections such as homepage carousels or featured product lists, depending on how your website is set up.
This tag is created and managed directly in Pavilion, so you don’t need to configure it separately in WooCommerce.
Creating the Featured Tag
1. Open the App Launcher, type Tags in the search bar, and click on it.
2. Click New to create a new Tag record.
3. Make sure to set up the fields as follows:
Tag Name: [FEATURED]
Type: E-Commerce Technical
IsActive: checkmark selected
Target: WOOCOMMERCE
4. Click Save.
⚠️ The tag must be entered exactly as [FEATURED] (with brackets) for it to work correctly.
Applying the Featured Tag to Products
1. Open the Inventory record in Pavilion.
2. Click on the Online section. Under Synchronization, locate the E-commerce Tags field.
3. Type in or find [FEATURED] in the Select Tags field, then proceed to add the tag.
4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Where Featured Items Appear
Featured items will display on your e-commerce site in sections designed for them. For example, they may appear:
On the homepage in the Featured Products section.
At the top of a product category page.
In a promotional carousel.
