How do I search for information in Pavilion?

Learn how to use Search to find customers, inventory items, jobs, sales, and other information in Pavilion.

There are two ways to search for records in Pavilion:

  • Global search: Located at the top of all pages in Pavilion. This is used to search for all records in Pavilion.

  • Quick search: Located in the list view for each tab. This is used to search for records on that tab. For example, the inventory search bar will search for inventory records.

Use Global Search

  1. Select the Search box at the top of the page.

  2. Enter your search term. As you type, Pavilion may show suggested matches and recent items.

  3. Select a result to open it.


Open full search results

If you do not see the item you need in the suggested results, press Enter.

The full search results page opens.


Filter Search results

On the full search results page, use the left sidebar to narrow your results by topic.

For example, you may be able to filter results by:

  • Inventory

  • Customers

  • Vendors

  • Jobs

  • Sales

  • Receipts

If you do not see the topic you need, scroll down and select Show More.


Use Quick Search under tabs

  1. Open one of the tabs.

  2. Select the Quick Search box in the top right.

  3. Enter your search term.

  4. Key Enter.

  5. Select a result to open it.


Tips for better search results

If you cannot find what you need, try these tips:

  • Use a more specific search term.

  • Search by full name, email address, item number, order number, or ZIP code.

  • Check your spelling.

  • Try a different related term.

  • If you recently created or updated the information, wait a few minutes and search again.
