How do I create, edit, or delete a location in Pavilion?

Learn how to create, update, and delete locations used for inventory items, jobs, and trade-ins.

Locations help Pavilion track where items or jobs are stored. You can create new locations, update existing locations, or delete locations that are no longer needed.

Create a new location

  1. Click the App Launcher.

  2. Search for Locations.

  3. Open Locations.

  4. If needed, change the list view from Recently Viewed to All.

  5. Optional: Click the pin icon to make the All list view your default view.

  6. Click New.

  7. Enter the Location Name.

  8. Select the Store.

  9. Select any relevant location options:

    1. Use as Item Location — makes the location available when creating or editing inventory items.

    1. Use as Job Location — makes the location available when creating or managing jobs.

    2. Default Item Location — automatically pre-fills this location when a new item is created.

    3. Default Trade-In Location — sets this as the default location when adding trade-ins from POS.

  10. Click Save.


Edit a location

You can edit a location from the list view or from the location record.

  1. Open Locations.

  2. Find the location you want to edit.

  3. Click the dropdown arrow next to the location.

  4. Select Edit.

  5. Make the needed changes.

  6. Click Save.

  1. Open Locations.

  2. Click the location name.

  3. Click the pencil icon next to the field you want to update.

  4. Make the needed changes.

  5. Click Save.


Delete a location

You can delete a location from the location record or from the list view.

  1. Open Locations.

  2. Click the location name.

  3. Click Delete in the top-right corner of the record.

  4. Confirm the deletion.

  1. Open Locations.

  2. Find the location you want to delete.

  3. Click the dropdown arrow next to the location.

  4. Select Delete.

  5. Confirm the deletion.
