A combined item is a product made from multiple inventory items that are sold together as one item.
Examples include:
Pairing a semi-mount ring with a loose diamond to create a diamond ring
Pairing a chain with a pendant to create a necklace
Bundling related inventory items that are frequently purchased together
Use this workflow when you want to combine existing inventory items or create a new item part while building the combined item.
Create a combined item
Open the Inventory tab.
From the inventory item list view, click Combine Products.
Select a Category for the combined item.
Select the Store.
Select the Location.
Click + Part to add inventory items to the combined item.
Choose how you want to add the part:
From Inventory — select an item that already exists in inventory.
Quick Add — create a new inventory item while building the combined item.
ℹ️ Important: You cannot add or remove parts from a combined item if the combined item or any of its parts have been reserved or sold.
You also cannot delete part inventory items if they are tied to a non-canceled, non-returned sale line item.
