How do I manage jobs that need special attention?

Learn how Pavilion flags jobs that need extra review because of estimated costs, estimated prices, or the Attention Required checkbox.

Manage jobs that need special attention

Pavilion can alert you when a job may need review before it is finalized or added to POS. This helps prevent jobs from being completed when pricing, cost, or internal review details still need attention.

A job may need special attention when:

  • One or more parts or services have Cost is Estimated selected

  • One or more parts or services have Price is Estimated selected

  • The Attention Required checkbox is selected on the job

What happens when a job needs attention

When you finalize the job or add it to POS, Pavilion displays a warning message.

The warning may tell you that:

  • Some costs or prices are still estimates

  • The job is flagged as needing extra attention

You can still continue if the job is ready to proceed.

Mark a job as attention required

Use the Attention Required checkbox when a job needs extra review before it is completed.

  1. Open the Job record.

  2. In the General Information section, click the pencil icon to edit the job details.

  3. Select the Attention Required checkbox.

  4. Optional: Add details in the Internal Note field so other users know what needs attention.

  5. Click Save.

After the job is saved, Pavilion will treat the job as needing special attention.

Finalize a job that needs attention

If you finalize a job that needs attention, Pavilion will show a warning before the job is completed.

  1. From the job record, click Finalize.

  2. Review the warning message.

  3. Confirm the Fulfillment Date.

  4. Click Finalize again to continue.

The job will be finalized, but the warning helps confirm that you reviewed the job.
