The [FEATURED] tag allows you to highlight selected products on your WooCommerce site. Once applied, featured items may appear in special sections such as homepage carousels, featured product lists, or other featured areas depending on how your website is configured.
The tag is created and managed in Pavilion, so you do not need to configure it separately in WooCommerce.
Create the featured tag
Click the App Launcher.
Search for Tags.
Select Tags.
Click New.
Fill in the fields as follows:
Tag Name:
[FEATURED]Type: E-Commerce Technical
Is Active: Checked
Target: WOOCOMMERCE
Click Save.
⚠️ The tag must be entered exactly as [FEATURED] (with brackets) for it to work correctly.
Apply the featured tag to a product
Open the Inventory record for the item you want to feature.
Click the Online section.
Under Synchronization, locate the E-Commerce Tags field.
Search for or select [FEATURED] in the Select Tags field.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Where featured items appear
Featured items display on your e-commerce site in sections designed for featured products. Depending on your website setup, they may appear:
On the homepage in a Featured Products section
At the top of a product category page
In a promotional carousel
If a featured item does not appear where expected, confirm that the item is synced to e-commerce and that your website is configured to display featured products.
