How do I troubleshoot tag printer issues?

Fix tag printing issues in Pavilion, QZ Tray, or your device.

Use this guide when your tag printer was working before but suddenly stopped, or when tags are not printing as expected. Start with the browser setting, then check Pavilion, QZ Tray, and your device.

Check Chrome device permissions

A recent Chrome update may affect device access. If Pavilion cannot connect to the printer, confirm that Chrome allows apps on your device.

  1. In Chrome, open Pavilion.

  2. Click the icon to the left of the browser URL.

  3. Confirm Apps on device is enabled.

  4. If you do not see Apps on device, click Site settings.

  5. Find Apps on device and enable it.

  6. Refresh Pavilion and try printing again.

Check the printer connection in Pavilion

  1. Log in to Pavilion and try printing a tag.

  2. In the Tag Printing window, look for the printer status light.

    • Green means the printer is connected.

    • Red means Pavilion cannot connect to the printer.

  3. If the light is red, confirm that QZ Tray is running and the printer is powered on.

  4. Refresh your browser and try again.

Restart QZ Tray

  1. Confirm that QZ Tray is installed and running in the background.

  2. If QZ Tray asks for permission, click Allow.

  3. If the printer light in Pavilion is still red, close and restart QZ Tray.

  4. Refresh your browser and try printing again.
