How do I configure tag printer software?

Learn how to install and configure QZ Tray for tag printing.

QZ Tray is the software Pavilion uses to connect to tag printers. Install and configure QZ Tray on each Windows computer that needs to print tags.

You need administrator access on the computer to complete this setup.

Install QZ Tray

  1. Download the QZ Tray installer from the QZ Tray download page: https://qz.io/download/

  2. Open the installer from your Downloads folder.

  3. If prompted, allow the app to make changes to your device.

  4. Follow the installation steps.

  5. Finish the installation.


Start QZ Tray

  1. Open the Windows Start menu.

  2. Search for QZ Tray.

  3. Click QZ Tray to start the application.

  4. Confirm the QZ Tray icon appears in the system tray, near the clock.


Configure the certificate

  1. Make sure QZ Tray is running.

  2. Locate the QZ Tray icon in the system tray.

  3. Right-click the QZ Tray icon.

  4. Select Advanced.

  5. Select Diagnostic.

  6. Click Browse App folder.

  7. Copy the certificate file into the QZ Tray application folder. The certificate file must be named exactly override.crt. This file is provided by your Pavilion administrator.

  8. If Windows asks for administrator permission, click Continue.


Reload QZ Tray

  1. Right-click the QZ Tray icon in the system tray.

  2. Click Reload.

After QZ Tray reloads, the tag printer software is ready for Pavilion tag printing.
