Managing Coupons

Use coupons in Pavilion to apply discounts, either fixed or percentage, through templates or manually in POS and Jobs.

What Is a Coupon?

Coupons in Pavilion are tools used to reduce the total price of your sale or order based on a specific amount of funds or a percentage. Coupons help you apply special offers, promotions, or custom adjustments to a customer's purchase. Whether applied manually or through templates, coupons are designed to give flexibility when finalizing prices. In essence, a coupon functions similarly to a discount.

Where Can You Use Coupons?

You can apply coupons from the POS in two ways:

  1. Using predefined templates created in Pavilion

  2. Applying it to sales or orders by adding them manually

How to Create a New Coupon Template

  1. Open the App Launcher
    Click the App Launcher icon (grid icon) to open the app menu.

  2. Find and Open Gift Cards & Coupons
    In the search field, type Gift Cards & Coupons and select it from the results.

  3. Create a New Template
    Click the New button to begin creating a new discount template.

  4. Configure the Template:

    • The Type should be Coupon. To create a Gift Card, please see How to Create, Sell, and Apply Gift Cards

    • Enter the Title of the Coupon.

    • Choose the Coupon Type.

      • If the Coupon Type is Percentage, provide an Amount from 0 to 100. This value represents the % that will be deducted when the coupon is applied.

      • If the Coupon Type is Fixed, enter the exact Amount of money that will be deducted when the coupon is applied.

  5. (Optional) Associate a Vendor
    If needed, select a Vendor related to the coupon.

  6. Is Active box
    To make it available for use, keep the Is Active checkbox selected. Untick that box to deactivate the Template (you can always reactivate or deactivate it).

  7. Save the Template
    Click Save to create the template.

Managing Existing Templates

  • Edit a Template

    • Click the Edit button.

    • Make the necessary updates, and click Save.

      You can also select Misc Template Name - Details, click on the pen icon  near it, making required changes, and pressing Save.

  • Delete a Template

    • Click the Delete button.

    • Confirm deletion.

       ⚠️ You can't delete coupon templates that have already been used.

Fixed vs Percentage Coupon Types

The difference between Fixed and Percentage coupon types is as follows:

Type

What it does

How it works

Fixed

Applies a specific amount off the sale Total

You enter the exact dollar value to deduct (e.g., $10 off).

Percentage

Applies a discount based on a percentage of the sale Total

You enter a number from 0 to 100, which represents the percent to deduct (e.g., 10% off).

Adding Coupons in the Pavilion POS

  1. Open the POS and fill in the required field

  2. Add the Sale line(s) (1) and click the Coupon (2) button.

  3. To use Coupon Templates: Make sure From Coupons option is selected. In the Select Coupon field, choose a template from the list of available coupon templates and click Add.

    3.1 To enter Coupon Manually: Make sure the Manual option is selected (1). Choose a Type (Fixed or Percentage) (2), enter the Amount (3), and click Add (4)

  4. Now the coupon is added to the POS, and the Total price is adjusted

  5. Finalize the Payment and click Finish.

  6. The Coupon is visible both on the Receipt page in Pavilion and on the printed receipt provided to the customer

⚠️ Gift Cards cannot be applied for Returns or Trade-ins

Adding Coupons in Jobs

  • Create a new Job or open an existing Job.

  • Once you add your Job to the POS, you can apply the Coupon.

⚠️ No matter when you add the coupon: wheather during the initial deposit or final payment, a percentage-based coupon will always apply to the job’s total price

Editing Coupons in Jobs

  1. Navigate to the Job that has a Coupon.

  2. Click Edit on the Coupon in the Parts and Services section.

  3. Edit the required fields in your coupon and click Save.

  4. The coupon has been successfully edited, and the pricing will be adjusted accordingly.
