How do I add a product group to my website?

Learn how to sync a product group to your website by updating the sync behavior on the product group record.

If website synchronization is enabled, you can make a product group available on your website by updating its sync behavior.

Use this workflow after the product group has already been created and the correct inventory items have been added.

Before you begin

Product groups should be reviewed before syncing them to your website. Before adding a product group to your website, confirm that:

  • The product group has the correct items.

  • Product variations are accurate.

  • Prices are correct.

  • Product images are added, if needed.

  • The product group is ready for customers to view online.

Update the sync behavior

  1. Open App Launcher.

  2. Search for Product Groups.

  3. Open the Product Group record.

  4. Go to the Synchronization section.

  5. Find the website you want to sync the product group to.

  6. Click the Sync Behavior field for that website.

  7. Select one of the available sync options:

    1. When Available — Syncs the product group only when all related inventory items have a Stock status.

    2. Always Sync — Syncs the product group regardless of inventory item status.

    3. Never Sync — Keeps the product group from syncing to the website.

  8. Click Save.

  9. Review the product group on your website to confirm it appears as expected.

Choose the right sync option

  • Use When Available when the product group should only appear online if the related inventory is currently in stock.

  • Use Always Sync when the product group should appear online even if some related inventory is not currently available.

  • Use Never Sync when the product group should not appear on the website.

What happens after saving

After you save the sync behavior, Pavilion applies the selected website sync setting to the product group.

Depending on your website integration, the product group may appear online immediately or after the next synchronization update.
